Anderson University Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)

Leading Strong into 2009-2010

SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.

Our team applies business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. In 2008-09, over 3,400 hours were invested by over 100 students into the community through AU SIFE this year to allow our 22 projects to reach over 67,000 people around the world. Project topics include: market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial management, ethics, and environmental sustainability.

SIFE takes place on 1,376 campuses throughout 41 countries incorporating 34,074 active students that are working toward the same goals. Teams come together in an annual series of regional and national competitions that provide a forum for teams to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges.
